Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Adventures Around Every Corner

The South African summer is hot and teaming with lots of big game. Our guide, Murray, has been great about getting us around Madikwe and providing interesting tidbits about each animal spotted!  Of course we saw lots more elephants, but branched out to cheetahs, lions, giraffes and rhinoceros aroud the vast preserve. 

And by the way, two VERY cool things here are: an African sunset and being in the Southern Hemisphere for star gazing (Orion, the Frying Pan and Southern Cross). The Milky Way is not too shabby either!
