Fast forward to 2013 when her last child graduated from college (she has six children), and the second wave of her quilting took off and she never looked back. For the past six years she has taken classes, made lots of quilts and has become prolific with Studio 180 Tools that she primarily uses for most of her quilts, and her teaching of quilting techniques. She's an enthusiastic teacher in the quilting world (it's big); which compliments nicely after retiring from 28 years of teaching science in Montgomery County, Maryland.
When I asked her about her "favorite" part of quilting, she did not hesitate a second and blurted out, "everything." When she gave herself a few seconds to think about it, she then acknowledged that she loves piecing; it's her zen. I couldn't agree more!
This blue loving gal has many more quilts to make in the future with grandkids #8 and #9 on their way, and we wish her well that they will be done before they will be born!
Ginny revealed that teaches locally around Maryland and Virginia and is a Studio 180 Certified Quilt Instructor. She was a lovely speaker, and all her quilts are beautiful!
BSoleille! The bright side of "it's all in the tool...a ruler."
