Heat Advisory with NO A/C...for Just a Bit

A lost night of sleep due to my constant thinking of Loo-C  (passed away yesterday) was met with an early "wake up" call of a screeching air conditioner and lots of loud thuds. The forecast called for HHH (hazy/hot/humid) and heat advisories were issued all over the region. I then had some friends visit and a T-shirt quilt customer pick up, all the while the house was getting warmer and warmer (and I like warm!). I was reluctant to call our service provider thinking they would be so backed up with calls just like mine that I hesitated, initially. I figured the earliest they could get to me would be September...

By 9:45am, and the house noticeably warm(er), I threw caution to the wind and placed the call. Well, it must have been my "lucky" day because the admin lady said she could send a crew out to check out my air conditioner soon. What?? How easy was that? Though I did have to wait for her to return my call for confirmation. Within the hour, she called back to say she had two technicians on their way to my house. The outside temperature was nearing 90 degrees by this time. The two techs arrived by 11:15am, diagnosed the problem with a busted motor, and for the next hour muscled replacing and installing a new one. They were out by 12:15pm and the house was rocking with cooler air, and I was thankful beyond belief! Could it be a sign from above from Loo-C is still taking care of us..? I'd like to think she had her paw into it for us to be comfortable once again, especially as we find our "new normal" without her.

So a huge shout of THANKS to Bob Baker's Golden Service https://www.bobbakers.net/ and Bryan and Ray who "rescued" our air conditioner with a hope it will crank out the cooler air for the rest of the summer when needed.

BSoleille!
