Over the last several years of blogging from QuiltsFromTheHeart, I've been one to blog about milestones, and today is no different. It's actually unbelievable that after I sign off in a few minutes, I am signing off on my 2,000th post. I would never have guessed I would reach this day when I started this mission on January 1, 2012, but I am so thankful I took the plunge. I am also grateful beyond measure for this "daily" opportunity including my daily blog readers who have given me the confidence and strength to keep writing almost every day for the past six straight years. (I'm in my seventh year!
Reflecting back on 2,000 posts, I believe I've fulfilled my mission and then some. I hope I have inspired at least one person to go, do, accomplish, to see things, to travel, to donate, to create something beautiful, to volunteer, or to join a "tribe" of like-minded people. In addition, live every day to it's full potential; and your own potential. It's the fun of celebrating the little things...like a blaze of fire sunrise or sunset, a bag of frozen peas, a simple flower or a pet, and ultimately, celebrating others.
For me, quilting has been a constant for the past 30 years, and I feel that every stitch I take is like the tangible "sands of time", and that I live my life celebrating those threads day in and day out. We all know life has many trials and tribulations, and we all have our share, but it's finding that "magic" in the coping through the good and bad that make a life worthwhile.
Thank you all for helping me achieve this honorable milestone! Wooohooo!!!
