A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Saying "So Long" with a Quilt

So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Good Bye, like the song from the Sound of Music, but quilters say in a quilt. This row quilt theme is how the Possibillibees said "so long" to bee mate, Mary Nielsen (and husband Steve), tonight as they make their way to Florida this weekend after Steve officially retires on Friday! Each row represents one of us, in addition to the tiny nine patches as the unifying "block" where swapped hundreds of 2" blocks for three years! Crazy right!?

We will miss our Mary, but send her off with best wishes as she starts a new chapter of her life (and her doors open when we head down for a Florida retreat!)

BSoleille!

The last two photos are not the same...Deb Hoppe joins us in #2 photo -back: Susie Stevenson, Deb, me, Janet McCabe, Shelley Jackson, seated: Cappy Phillips, Mary, and Carrie Casto
