Marketing Through "Social Media"

I am all in with productive apps, social media and the like, and tech gadgets that makes life just a wee bit easier. So, this photo was interesting to me as I drove by this young man holding a sign on a very hot summer day advertising Great Clips. I'm curious if his sign waving produced more customers that day over a blitz on local social media gaining customers for a simple haircut. Apparently, sign waving is alive and well in the "cut" throat world of advertising!
