In addition to the above, a huge part of Ryan's surgery hinged on the pathology reports. Thankfully, it came back (today) very favorable for Ryan, and considering Ryan's complicated medical history, it was determined that no further treatment (chemotherapy and/or radiation) is recommended.
So after this baker's "dozen"week (7+1) in the hospital, we feel honored (and relieved) to be able to provide around the clock care at home. And you know what? Isn't a "proven fact" that healing times improve dramatically when home? We certainly hope that this is the case for Ryan as he moves forward in his recovery.
Thank you all for the prayers, well-wishes, positive thoughts and support throughout the past month! It certainly lifted all of our spirits!
BSoleille! The bright side of "breaking" out of the hospital!

A glorious sight! Home is best, get some rest.
Terri, I am ecstatic to hear this great news. Ryan is a rock star and I am so impressed he is up, swallowing and trying to talk. Totally amazing and a total blessing this surgery could be done and NO chemo is needed!!! My thoughts are with all of you and hope transitioning home goes well. Vicki
How wonderful that he is home and on the mend. We expect nothing less from your family that he'll heal and be us and about in no time. Hugs to all.
