Tiny Tulips

I was quite startled in passing by these tiny tulips today as they bloomed so close to the ground. I like to think tulips as more regal and statuesque as they stand so proud and tall swaying in the spring breeze. But maybe the cold and harsh winter here in Maryland "stunted" its growth, but certainly not its vibrant color, and I am thankful for that!
