I may not sleep tonight due to the giddy excitement of my trip starting tomorrow! A lot of firsts: going south of the equator, 17+ hours in the air on the second leg of the trip, and nothing to compare South Africa to. I am thankful to have read the book, "Cry, the Beloved Country", by Alan Paton, several years ago, which is rich in prose and filled with Biblical references and allusions, and written before the passage of a new law (1948) institutionalizing apartheid, which of course, is no longer. A classic work of love and hope, and am so
looking forward to the adventures that courageous and dignified country has to offer!
BSoleille!
