17 years on the 17th

Today I/we celebrate a great milestone, in that, our son Ryan was diagnosed with Childhood Leukemia 17 years ago on October 17th, a sort of "golden-milestone-anniversary if you will. I am thankful his warrior focus, fight and faith sustained him and our entire family through good times and bad times, and that we never gave up hope (or love). So a big shout out to Ryan and the many communities that helped us through the past 17 years up until today. I/we humbly thank you!!!

Photo #1 of Ryan and I celebrating the moment with taking him to lunch this afternoon, and Photo#2 this evenings beautiful rainbow!

BSoleille!  The bright side of a meaningful milestone.

  2. How awesome is this! As a pediatric cancer nurse, to see this is awe inspiring. You watch what these kids and their families go through, and you triumph over these happy times. I enjoyed taking care of Ryan so much while on 5200. He was a very tough little boy at that time and I know he must be pretty much the same now as an adult. I only knew the little boy Ryan, but I know he will continue to do great things with his life. I was the lucky one to get to meet him and hang out with him when he was younger and I hope one day to see him again. So happy for you all and miss you guys as well. Come visit Nova Scotia one day. You would love where we live!! God Bless!! Love Nurse Donna
